We are looking for an Operations Engineer who is passionate about infrastructure and service operation to help drive the rapid growth of BCG's new digital business, BCG Digital Ventures. Our purpose is to help companies imagine and launch digital businesses and solutions that have transformative customer impact. To do this, we’ve assembled a group of world-class business/strategy, product design, and technology professionals with deep knowledge and experience in digital businesses and solutions – from mobile applications, ecommerce, advanced analytics to new and emerging digital solutions yet to be realized.
AS A SENIOR DEV OPS ENGINEER, YOU WILL USE YOUR SKILLS TO:
- Build and own platform operations for BCG DV and different ventures we launch. Responsibilities include from production environment build, deployments to automation and performance tuning.
- Anticipate operational problems by monitoring system performance and studying operating targets. Recommend solution to operational problems identified.
- Work closely with development team to manage system lifecycle including change and configuration management
- Troubleshoot any emergency infrastructure incident to achieve optimal application performance and stability
AS A SENIOR DEV OPS ENGINEER, YOU WILL NEED:
- Experience in building AWS based, scalable, and highly available distributed infrastructure for high traffic web/mobile application and big data analytics platform
- Hands on experience in shell scripting and at least one scripting language (Python or Ruby)
- Expert knowledge in UNIX and Networking
- Experience in production support (infrastructure and service operation) for large scale deployment
- Experience in source control and continuous delivery tools
- Experience with Docker
- Experience in configuration management and change management
- Strong teamwork skills
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject

- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Working knowledge of Database, Java/J2EE and or Node.js
- Knowledge of infrastructure security and monitoring
- Comfortable working in a fast paced environment
- Good understanding of event management, incident management and problem management
- Experience with software engineering best practices (e.g. quality assurance, review, documentation etc.)
- Experience with Agile software development
