Senior Analyst, Tax Operations

We’re looking for a Senior Analyst, Tax Operations to join Team Snap Inc! Working on the Tax team, you’ll improve existing processes and implement best practices within the tax operations function, with a focus on global indirect tax compliance and accounting. Global indirect taxes include sales/use tax, value added tax, and property tax. Working from our Venice, CA headquarters, you’ll collaborate with various colleagues throughout the Finance organization to support the global quarterly and annual global tax provision and income tax compliance process.
What you’ll do:
- Lead the global indirect tax accounting and compliance process, preparing filings and reviewing filings prepared by external advisors
- Support global indirect tax audits
- Manage US and non-US tax advisors supporting global indirect tax compliance and controversy projects
- Support the monthly accounting close process by calculating indirect tax liabilities and related contingencies in a timely manner
- Assist the global quarterly and annual tax accounting process, which includes preparing the quarterly and annual global consolidated income tax provision in accordance with ASC 740
- Support the US federal and state and non-US income tax preparation process
What we’re looking for:
- BA/BS in accounting or finance (CPA and/or master’s degree in tax or accounting a plus)
- 3+ years of tax experience in Big Four public accounting, in the corporate tax department at a multinational company, or combination of the two strongly preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a desire and ability to build relationships
- Experience in sales/use tax, value-added tax, and property tax compliance
- Multi-tasker with an ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic and extremely fast-paced work environment
- Detail oriented problem-solver with strong organization skills
- Strong work ethic with a desire to drive and improve processes
- Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a team
