Acorns is seeking a Senior Accountant to help support and enhance the Accounting function.
Reporting to the Director of Accounting, you will be an integral part of helping our company and the talented accounting team scale our accounting operations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Accounts Receivable process from billing to payment receipt
- Run the Accounts Payable process from invoice receipt to payment
- Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Business Development and Marketing
- Assist with reconciliation of general ledger accounts
- Aid with general accounting month-end closing procedures
- Contribute to audit preparation, record keeping and paperless document control
- Complete special projects as needed and other duties assigned
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business with an overall GPA of 3.0 or above
- 3-4 years of professional accounting experience. Big Four and/or start-up experience highly desired. CPA preferred
- Self-starter with ability to work independently, but unafraid to ask questions
- Critical thinking, problem solving ability and high attention to detail required
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word. Advanced Excel highly desired
- Quickbooks or other GL software experience desired
- High level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm and confidentiality
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
