Security Awareness Technical Program Manager
Snap Inc. is a camera company. We believe that reinventing the camera represents our greatest opportunity to improve the way people live and communicate. Our products empower people to express themselves, live in the moment, learn about the world, and have fun together.
We’re looking for an Information Security Awareness TPM to join Snap Inc! You will work side by side with our team to influence and change the awareness, knowledge, and behavior of our employees and users in measurable, creative, and innovative ways. Working from our Venice, CA headquarters, you will be responsible for securing the people and data that we are trusted to protect.
What you’ll do:
- Create risk/behavior models: how do we tie the biggest risks to the company back to behavior? How do we change those behaviors in the short and long term?
- Assist in attack simulation planning and execution, which includes identifying weaknesses, writing emails, setting up an email server to understand how to bypass our filters and technical controls, and more
- Initiate, plan, design, and execute on educational security and privacy content campaigns
- Develop and facilitate training sessions for company-wide classes and highly focused classes
- Apply gamification theory to behavior modification—assign proper rewards to corresponding good behaviors and know how to encourage continuous engagement/improvement
- Get creative: what can we be measuring that we're not? What other ways can we engage our employees?
- Work with our cross-functional partners in Communications, Marketing, Broadcast, Legal, and Physical Security
- Develop or modify awareness plans for different cultures, nationalities, and languages
- Stay up to date on the direction of emerging security issues and assess the need for out-of-cycle (and other out-of-band) communications with employees and contract personnel
What we’re looking for:
- A solid foundation in information security and/or behavioral science
- BS in computer science, anthropology, sociology, a related technical/social science field, or equivalent experience
- Experience with information security in a startup environment
- International experience a plus
- A passion for Snap Inc. and the products we produce
- Project management experience; the ability to plan, manage, and maintain an organization-wide program over the longer term
- Practical knowledge of different message distribution techniques to ensure end user communities understand and continually apply the required behavioral change necessary to reduce human risk
- Ability to communicate with and coordinate the activities of others
- Understanding of the concepts of information risks and the different elements that make up risk; at a minimum, a basic understanding of the different concepts of information security
