Hyperloop One is seeking a Project Analyst who is driven to help bring the Hyperloop to market. We are seeking candidates who are passionate about transportation and infrastructure, and how these affect communities, cities and regions.

The Project Analyst will primarily support project evaluation and business development activities, be responsible for managing consulting teams throughout feasibility studies, and interface with employees across finance, business development, product / engineering, and marketing on a range of topics to assess the commercial feasibility of the Hyperloop system in a particular corridor.

This position is located in our Los Angeles, California office and reports to the Business Intelligence Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Research specific markets on topics such as demand and ridership, geopolitical climate, investment climate, ongoing and prospective infrastructure projects, and other transportation-related topics
• Leverage knowledge of industry to provide insights into targeted markets, geographies, and governments
• Own the feasibility study process, including managing external consultants to meet deadlines
• Own economic and financial modeling work streams, thoroughly document assumptions, interpret outputs, and make recommendations driven by data and evidence-based insights
• Manage communication with internal and external stakeholders, including local governments
• Effectively, concisely, and accurately summarize findings in a compelling manner
• Take ownership of specific efforts that Business Intelligence Managers have identified as top priorities

Requirements

• BA / BS (or MA / MS) from a top university or equivalent experience
• 1-3 years of experience in finance, management consulting, or a role that requires rigorous financial or business analytics
• 1-3 years of experience in transportation or logistics highly preferred
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to navigate an ambiguous environment and entrepreneurial drive, to handle stress well and maintain a positive attitude and intellectual curiosity
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Have authorization to work in the U.S.
