Patent Prosecution Paralegal

We’re looking for a Patent Paralegal to join Snap Inc! Working from our Venice, CA headquarters, you’ll play a key role in developing and managing our rapidly growing patent portfolio. We are looking for a hardworking, collaborative, and detail-oriented person to help us build out our patent portfolio.
What you’ll do:
- Take a lead role in developing and implementing processes and procedures to help Snap Inc. manage its growing patent portfolio
- Own and manage day-to-day patent program operations, which includes maintaining an asset management system
- Assist IP team members with capturing innovations, facilitating the filing of US and international patents, preparing reports for executives, and supporting other patent program activities
- Work closely with engineers and outside counsel to help administer the patent program
- Serve as a point of contact for various patent program functions
- Promote a culture of innovation throughout the company
- Provide guidance on patent program best practices
What we’re looking for:
- 7+ years of in-house patent prosecution paralegal experience or at a law firm (at least four years of in-house experience preferred)
- BA/BS degree
- Extensive experience with IP asset management systems
- Strong administrative and project management skills
- A tech-savvy person with excellent software skills
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Flexibility to take on a wide variety of projects and tasks
- A self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and independently
- Someone with a knack for creative thinking and problem solving
- Ability to accommodate tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
