We are looking for someone who is passionate and motivated, driven, with an entrepreneurial spirit, resourceful, innovative, forward thinking and committed.
The Membership Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the membership team, acting as a point person for members from outreach to activation, researching up-and-coming brands and companies, and gathering the data needed to complete registration for new and prospective members. Significant database management (Salesforce), research, and interpersonal skills are required of this position. Over time, the responsibilities of the role will expand.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Target and identify prospective members, gather contact information and aggressively work to schedule calls and meetings.
- Manage busy, often-changing schedules & calendars.
- Significant amount of executive level email outreach and correspondence with high-profile prospects and members.
- Maintain the integrity of member data in Salesforce, Dropbox and Google Docs.
- Administrative tasks in support of the membership team as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Possess professional and persuasive written and verbal communications skills to be used with Members, youth leaders, business leaders, political leaders, celebrity icons and more.
- A passion and growing knowledge of youth media, marketing and cultural issues with an advanced dedication to continue to learn.
- A "people" person, extremely customer conscious, and able to create a unique and personal experience for each Member.
- Ability to work independently, efficiently, and proactively with strong attention to detail.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A) or equivalent, preferably in Business, Communications, or Marketing preferred
- 2+ years experience in a professional environment (EA and/or Event Planning experience is a PLUS)
COMPUTER/TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Advanced knowledge of CRM tools & databases, including Salesforce, etc.
- Advanced knowledge of all Mac applications, Google Docs, Microsoft Office esp. PowerPoint & Excel
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
- Able to remain calm, poised and enthusiastic in an extremely fast paced, dynamic, high pressure environment.
- Thrives in a team environment.
- Accepts constructive criticism in a positive light.
- Great interpersonal and phone skills i.e. business acumen, speaks clearly (puts a smile in their voice) and listens well.
