The Role

This is a truly entrepreneurial leadership role with a heavy focus on driving growth. As part of our Founding Team, you’ll support Primerli in building the marketing function that will raise Primerli’s online profile. This role is best for someone who wants to join an early-stage company and have a “seat at the table” by setting the strategic direction of the company as well as gaining hands-on execution experience. Example day-to-day activities include: 

  • Work closely with the rest of the Founding Team to build and lead Primerli’s go-to-market strategy, driving our online presence, generating inbound leads, and creating pathways to customers in new industry verticals
  • Execute the go-to-market strategy with a hands-on approach, driving various digital marketing activities, including thought leadership, social media management, content marketing, etc.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive content marketing strategy that leverages Primerli’s content to drive organic/inbound sales interest 
  • Utilize a hypothesis-driven approach to experiment with various marketing tactics that will support the go-to-market strategy across verticals
  • Build the necessary operating model and the infrastructure for Primerli’s marketing function.  Establish processes and metrics that will support improvement over time 
  • Work with the Founding Team to proactively identify and then deliver growth opportunities that will help us realize our mission 

Primerli is an early-stage, high-growth startup, making this role different from your typical corporate job in a few ways:

  • Do-it-all mindset:  Founding Team members must move seamlessly from strategy to execution mode. In the last year, Primerli grew 8x, a feat made possible by our hardworking team (many of whom are ex-consultants like yourself) who were willing and able to roll up their sleeves and solve whatever problems came their way.  
  • Dynamic scope: Being an early-stage leader means your responsibilities will change on a daily basis: in 6 months, you’ll be writing your new job description! 
  • Equity compensation: a majority of the compensation will be equity, so this role is good for people interested in this type of risk-reward profile 

While the company is based in California, you will be working remotely with a global team and reporting directly to the founder, who is a former BCG Principal with more than eight years of consulting experience across different geographies.

Marketing background and relevant experience: 5-7+ years of experience, including work in marketing, growth, and/or go-to-market (some SaaS marketing experience will be helpful)
