Procore is seeking a Junior Buyer to support our company-wide purchasing needs as well as to help maintain procurement policies and strategy. You will manage a variety of tactical and strategic purchasing efforts across the company, and liaise with the designated business owners in every department to receive requests for purchases.

You will report to the Procurement Manager and work closely to build and maintain the foundations of the Procurement team including reporting, company compliance, and education materials for the company. The ideal candidate would have a passion for working in a procurement department where they can establish core competencies in purchasing.

This position is based in our headquarters in Carpinteria, CA on the bluffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean. We’re looking for someone to join our team immediately.

As a Junior Buyer your responsibilities include:

  • Process orders for licenses, goods, and services across all departments of the company
  • Ensure purchase orders are approved and received by our vendors
  • Assist business with the creation of purchase orders
  • Maintain procurement reporting and tracking
  • Coordinate deliveries and purchasing processes
  • Negotiate mutually beneficial purchasing agreements with key vendors
  • Collaborate with legal, IT, and finance to create policies and procedures for risk management and mitigation
  • Approve the ordering of necessary goods, services, and systems
  • Evaluate existing contracts and processes
  • Managing multiple projects, deadlines, concurrently

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at once, varying in scope and deadlines
  • Extreme attention to detail and organization
  • Desire to learn and utilize strong business acumen
  • Aptitude in decision-making
  • Experience using Excel
  • Experience in collecting and analyzing data
  • Experience working with a Purchase Order (PO) system, preferred, but not required
  • Great interpersonal skills and the ability to train others on procurement policies
  • College degree preferred
  • Desire to learn and grow within a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
