Spokeo is looking for an exceptional individual who is well rounded and self motivated to join our accounting team. He or she will support various aspects of finance and accounting for the company under the direction of the Corporate Controller/Senior Accountants.

Day-to-Day Tasks of the Position Include:

• Daily reconciliations of merchant accounts
• Reconciliation of Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss accounts such as cash and payroll expense
• Ensure timely payment on all invoices; work with vendors and business owners to resolve any discrepancies on open invoices; maintain invoices, W-8/W-9s, and receipts
• Issue customer refunds as needed
• Perform accounting research when necessary
• Assist with financial audit and correspond with external auditors
• Assist with other special projects as assigned while working closely with the team
• Data entry and filing

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor degree with a major or minor in Accounting
• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Possess strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn
• Ability to multi-task
• Is resourceful, adaptable, and detail-oriented
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
