In this role, you will provide maintenance of the computer desktop environment by analyzing requirements, resolving problems, installing hardware and software solutions, and supporting the internal IT helpdesk. You will be responsible for administration and internal support of the Company’s PCs, printers, servers, and related equipment. Tasks include end user support, license tracking, and performing PC maintenance, upgrades and configurations.

JOB DUTIES

  • Provide in-office helpdesk support, with a focus on the end user’s satisfaction
  • Work closely with IT Administrator and Operations staff on short and long-term tasks
  • Manage barebones installation for desktop and server hardware
  • Troubleshoot Windows OS problems
  • Troubleshoot basic Mac OS problems
  • Troubleshoot basic VOIP problems
  • Manage email directory and troubleshoot email issues
  • Set up user accounts in Microsoft Outlook and on mobile device mail apps
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic network and wireless connectivity issues
  • Install VPN clients, S/MIME keys, and other custom configurations on user’s computers from detailed checklists
  • Configure and maintain networked copier/scanner devices and assist colleagues with basic user interface instructions

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, IT Security, or related field (Bachelor’s Degree preferred)
  • 2+ years professional experience
  • Strong working knowledge of OSX desktop/laptop/iOS for iPhone and iPad
  • Strong working knowledge of windows 7/8.1/10
  • Must able to troubleshoot computer hardware, printers, and software Microsoft technologies Windows 7, 8, 9 and 10, and IP networks.
  • Working knowledge of audio visual equipment
  • Ability to actively demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills, including making and following detailed task lists
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Understanding of common security threats and techniques
  • Linux desktop and server knowledge (preferred)
