Prodege is looking for a hands-on HR Generalist super star!  This role is a true generalist position covering all aspects of Human Resources and will interface with all levels of the organization.  We’re seeking a go-getter, that is positive, diligent, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

 As our HR Generalist, you will be responsible for the following areas: 

 Administer Benefit Programs

  • Manage and maintain all benefit plans 
  • Be the subject matter expert on all health and welfare benefits needs across the organization
  • Oversee annual enrollment process from planning to managing employee communications, and presenting benefits plans to all employees
  • Oversee implementation of changes to benefit programs and monitor to remain competitive
  • Manage vendor relationships with insurance carriers, 401(k) plan administrators, brokers and other service providers
  • Monitor the legal and regulatory environment as it impacts benefit plans and make recommendations for changes as appropriate
  • Manage FMLA and leave policies and practices including short and long term disability, etc.
  • Manager workers compensation program
  • Oversee HIPAA compliance
  • Reconcile and audit benefits plan enrollment, payroll deductions and vendor billing

 Recruiting/ Hiring/ Onboarding/ Exits

  • Provide recruitment support by preparing job descriptions, posting jobs, scheduling interviews and greeting candidates
  • Assist with hiring process by preparing offer letters, conducting reference checks, and other pre-employment activities as needed
  • Coordinate and manage new hire processing including collection of new employee paperwork and set up, background check and I-9 compliance (E-verify) data entry into HRIS, collaborating with IT on work space and technology logistics
  • Responsible for employee onboarding including conducting new hire orientation, presenting company policies/ practices and working with managers to ensure a smooth onboarding experience
  • Manage employee exit process

 Employee Relations

  • Provide functional HR support across organization including being the initial point of contact for employees
  • Address employee concerns and handle employee relations issues, escalating issues as needed
  • Facilitate and help implement key HR initiatives, projects and programs including employee events and programs
  • Respond to employment verification requests
  • Manage employee communication initiatives (new hire announcements, birth announcements, promotions, etc.)
  • Manage employee recognition programs and partner with other HR team members and Office Management on employee events and activities such as quarterly all employee meetings, wellness programs and charitable giving initiatives

HRIS

  • Perform transactional HRIS system updates as lifecycle events occur (e.g. new hires, transfers, terminations, promotions, leaves of absence, etc.)
  • Handle all employee record-related transactions to ensure soft and hard files are up-to-date. This includes notifying appropriate internal partners of new hires and terminations to activate or deactivate the necessary systems and processes
  • Create and maintain HR reports and organization charts

 Special Projects

  • Support HR and office management day-to-day functional tasks and projects
  • Assist in monitoring and ordering business supplies, processing department/benefit invoices
  • Assist with ad hoc HR projects and programs

 Qualifications

  • 2-5 years demonstrated generalist background
  • 1-2 years benefit administration experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent
  • PHR/SHRM certifications a plus
  • Knowledge of payroll processes, experience with ADP a plus
  • Excellent understanding of HR best practices and employment law in multiple states
  • Strong knowledge of FMLA, Disability Leave, Workers Compensations, Benefits, etc.
  • Customer focused attitude
  • Practices the highest level of professionalism and discretion
  • Is deliberate with high attention to detail
  • Has a record of personal and professional integrity
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
  • Able to perform at a high level, in a fast pace work environment
  • Proficiency in Google Docs, MS office, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word
