Job Summary: This is an exciting role in an innovative technology company. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager to join our dynamic team, focusing on Department of Defense (DoD) programs. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of DoD acquisition processes, specifically with expertise in the Defense Acquisition System, the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process, and the intricacies of managing large-scale Acquisition Category I (ACAT I) programs. The successful candidate will oversee and coordinate all aspects of program management, ensuring successful execution and planning within the established timelines and budget constraints.  In this role, you will work closely with a talented leadership team, reporting to the SVP of Programs and Products  


Responsibilities: 

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic program plans aligned with organizational objectives, ensuring a clear definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables. 
  • Project Management: Apply program management best practices to manage projects throughout their lifecycle, from initiation to closure, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. 
  • Risk Management: Identify and analyze project risks, developing proactive mitigation strategies to minimize potential issues and ensure successful project delivery. 
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather project requirements, facilitate communication, and ensure alignment with organizational goals. 
  • Resource Allocation: Effectively plan, allocate, and manage program resources, including personnel, budget, and materials, to optimize efficiency and achieve project objectives. 
  • Performance Monitoring: Implement robust monitoring and reporting mechanisms to track project progress, identify variances, and provide regular updates to stakeholders. 
  • Quality Assurance: Enforce quality assurance processes to ensure program deliverables meet or exceed established standards and specifications. 
  • Continuous Improvement: Evaluate and enhance program management processes and methodologies, incorporating industry best practices to drive continuous improvement. 

 Basic Qualifications:

  • ACAT 1 DoD program management experience with both fixed-price and cost-plus contract types with contract values greater than $200M
  • Excellent communicator
  • AS9100 experience
  • Secret clearance with an ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM or related field 
  • A minimum of 10+ years related experience

 Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Master's Degree in a related field 
  • CMMC Level 2 certification experience 
  • Technical degree 
  • PMP certification 
  • Experience in ITAR export programs 
  • Six Sigma Black Belt 
  • Experience spanning the product lifecycle: gathering requirements through sustainment  


Additional Requirements: 

  • Occasional travel required (~1 trip every 6 weeks) 


ITAR REQUIREMENTS: 

  • To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. As required by the Equal Pay Transparency Act, Epirus provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. 

For the state of California only, the range of starting pay for this role is:

$162,500$225,200 USD

Location

Our company is located in Torrance, just off of the 405. We moved into our new 100,000+ square foot facility in November 2021 and love calling it home.
