ServiceTitan is looking for a Director of Business Intelligence who will be responsible for architecting, implementing and the ongoing management of our BI environment. This is a mission critical role that will support multiple departments and projects to provide accurate, timely and insightful data analytics to the organization. The role will include working with business leaders to determine analytical needs, building new data and reporting structures as required, standing up a data warehouse, and managing the collection, analysis and distribution of data throughout the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:

Setup Company Wide Data Warehouse and Reporting Infrastructure

  • Own the business intelligence charter end to end, driving towards data driven decision making
  • Define the BI roadmap, with complete execution and delivery, including the overall maintenance and long term sustainability of the BI environment
  • Own the configuration of shared systems, particularly Salesforce, to support the workflows and metrics required by each individual team
  • Perform requirements gathering, data-model and how to best visualize business data, followed by design, deployment, on-going enhancements and production support
  • Build and manage ETL infrastructure and processes
  • Responsible for the BI Team’s budget (people and systems)

Support Cross-functional, Company Wide Reporting

  • Own production of all company-wide reporting, including working with various departmental dashboards, executive and company-wide dashboards
  • Serve as a technical resource for helping other teams instrument their own systems (e.g. Customer Success Operations systems, Sales Operations systems) to support their required workflows and metric tracking, reporting and analytics

Build an environment that can answer deep analytical questions

  • Analyze and recommend new or different BI technologies, which will enhance current systems and support overall corporate and business goals
  • Draw /raise insights and emerging trends from data to action upon with Leadership team
  • Bring expertise of new technologies, platforms in analytics including traditional Data Warehouse and Data Marts, Big Data, and unstructured data analysis
  • Work with functional leaders to drive data driven decision making with deep problem solving and analytics

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline
  • Degree in Computer Science, Master’s degree a plus
  • 5+ years working in BI, with at least 3 years of experience designing, implementing and delivering complex BI solutions
  • Hands-on experience in all facets of BI Architecture, data flow strategy, data modeling, metadata & master data management
  • Deep SQL experience in complex data structures and data warehouse instances is a must
  • Experience with ETL instances and integration with multiple data sources
  • Design, develop and configuration of dashboards and reports using cloud based (Tableau or DOMO like) clients and managing data warehouse (publishing activities and user support)
  • Experience in business analytics and interviewing business users and run workshops, collecting and interpreting reporting requirements, explaining the solution details to business audience
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey information to internal and external stakeholders in a clear, focused and concise manner
  • Proven experience in successfully managing projects and processes with ambitious milestones under pressure
  • Demonstrate high individual effectiveness and cross functional organization skills: flexibility, communication, time-management and interpersonal skills, with high attention to detail, and experience handling multiple projects/tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
