The Data Scientist will be an integral part of the Loot Crate data team. The Data Scientist will work with the data architect and company SMEs to take disparate data sets and create actionable data solutions. This role will lead creation and enhancement of our capabilities around predictive analytics, machine learning and other industry leading methodologies to deliver maximum value to the company.

What You'll Do:

• Run self-directed analysis and experiments to test hypothesis. 
• Present findings to executive team and team leads in a clear and actionable way. 
• Lead predictive analytics and machine learning efforts in the areas of customer retention, long term (6-9 month) growth forecasting, customer insights and behavior prediction. 
• Build and produce data models and solutions to support greenfield data products, including gathering business requirements, collecting internal and external data sources, and clear reporting of results and business impact.
• Work with various teams to provide cross-departmental tools and solutions.
• Provide strategic recommendations for enhanced and continual data mining.

Qualifications Needed:

• 3+ years of relevant experience 
• Bachelor's Degree in technical/scientific/analytical field, Master's Preferred.
• Expert Level Experience with R and/or Python(pandas/numpy/scipy) 
• Expertise in machine learning theories, including regression models, GLM, tree models, clustering, and recommendation systems. 
• Expert Level Experience with practical probability and statistics. 
• Experience analyzing large data sets in distributed environments (AWS, Unix VM clusters, Spark). GCP experience a plus.
• Proficient in SQL and comfortable with relational databases.
• Experience in eCommerce or retail is a strong plus 
• Enthusiasm for gaming, pop culture, and anything geek a strong plus 
• Strong organizational and time management skills 
• Detail oriented with good interpersonal skills and ability to work as an effective team member with a broad array of people from multiple departments 
• Effective presentation and communications skills
