We're looking for a Counsel, Revenue & Marketing, to join Snap Inc! You’ll play a key role in structuring, drafting, and negotiating a variety of advertising and marketing contracts, as well as advising on other commercial contracts and legal issues spanning the breadth of Snap Inc.’s products and services. Working from our Venice, CA headquarters, you’ll collaborate with colleagues throughout the company to develop creative solutions that manage risk.
What you’ll do:
- Draft and negotiate terms and agreements covering the wide breadth of Snap Inc’s sales activities, including: advertising sales (direct-sold and self-serve), upfront deals, e-commerce, ad tech, intellectual property licensing, creative services, and partner/vendor deals
- Manage multiple deals and support colleagues to ensure business initiatives are executed timely and accurately
- Advise business clients on legal issues and risks, company policies, and business strategy
- Assist in creating and improving agreements and templates for Snap Inc. for new products and markets
- Exercise sound judgment when negotiating key business and legal terms
- Collaborate with outside counsel on commercial matters
- Handle projects at the discretion of the Associate General Counsel
What we’re looking for:
- J.D. with excellent academic credentials
- Membership in at least one state bar (CA or NY preferred)
- 7+ years of experience practicing law, at a law firm or in-house, with at least four years of experience in mobile advertising — ideally at an internet or technology company
- Outstanding analytical, communication, organizational, negotiation, and drafting skills
- Excellent legal and business judgment, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously
- A detail-oriented and business-friendly team player
- Someone who can communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation
- Ability to accommodate tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- A strong work ethic and the ability to work independently
- Ability to identify and resolve legal issues quickly
- A whip-smart individual who doesn’t take themselves too seriously!
