Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting operations including general ledger accounting and journal entries, and the reconciliation of all general ledger accounts
• Assure accurate and timely recording of all transactions by implementing disciplines of internal audits, controls and checks across departments
• Responsible for developing initial processes and ongoing oversight of AP, AR, payroll and international reconciliations among others
• Develop and issue financial information packages for executive team and investor distribution 
• Ensure all accounting policies and procedures are documented and in line with relevant GAAP standards and regulatory requirements
• Manage external relationships with external auditors and other relevant parties
• Assist in creation of annual operating plans including capital forecasting and planning

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience including management experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or closely related field
• Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation required 
• Combination of Big 4 public and corporate accounting experience
• Financial system implementation experience preferred
• Experience in a start-up, roll-up-your-sleeves environment preferred
