Community Coordinator, People & Culture

The Velocify Community Coordinator will be focused on supporting a positive workplace culture, facilitating and leading and Velocify’s internal and external community initiatives related to People at Velocify; identifying and fostering development opportunities, ensuring employees’ input into plans and projects; administering cross functional activities, community empowerment and ensuring workplace engagement.  This individual will be an ambassador of the Company and the People Team. This individual will be expected to proactively develop relationships across the organization, work collaboratively with all levels of people and assist in creating and defining the (office) culture by aligning the organization.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Develops internal and external communication that tells compelling stories about the Company
  • Partners with the Social Committee and other committees within the organization
  • Builds, participates and contributes in all Community Engagement initiatives
  • Drives open, clear, and frequent communication within the organization
  • Promotes, administers and maintains company technology (new or existing) for the Velocify community
  • Participates in employer Branding and related efforts
  • Develops, implements, and coordinates efforts to build a strong internal community, impacting quality and productivity
  • Assists in developing initiatives as needed to drive productivity and culture goals
  • Conducts new Velocifier on-boarding training
  • Assists VP, People with various projects and initiatives

Basic Requirements:

The right person for this role, is an excellent decision-maker. He/she is positive, resourceful, and solutions-oriented with a deep sense of responsibility, accountability and commitment. He/she exhibits highly effective communication skills including - verbal, presentation and is an excellent listener. Finally, he/she relishes owning projects start to finish and understands both MAC and PC functions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Arts in Communication, Business, Community Planning or Marketing
  • +1 years working in HR
  • +1 years of design or visual communications experience
  • +1 years of community planning experience
  • Effective Financial Skills
  • Experience working cross functionally with in a diverse organization
