We’re looking for a capital markets manager to assist with debt financing strategy and deal structuring. Our ideal candidate will have some combination of experience in corporate debt, venture debt, and/or asset-backed financing backed by unsecured consumer loans. 

You will primarily work with the Leadership Team, namely the CEO, Chief of Staff, Director of Credit Risk and VP of Operations.

Responsibilities:

• Weighing various financing options and recommending the best fit for Tala, based on all-in cost of capital, scalability, scenario analysis, and FX moves, among other considerations
• Working with the Tala team and deal counsel on deal structure of whichever financing option Tala decides to pursue
• Periodically interfacing with financing counterparties to discuss deal details

Requirements:

• 10+ years of debt financing experience at a bank, fund or other financial institution in a structuring or risk management capacity
• Comfort modeling various deal structures under different scenarios, in an intuitive manner
• Strong understanding of deal documentation
• Experience making strategic financing recommendations

Preferred requirements:

• Understanding of asset-backed or corporate debt in emerging markets
• Experience working with financing counterparties
• Knowledge of the fintech space
• CFA holder
