THE ROLE:

Loot Crate’s Brand Manager, Anime will be a leader on the Crate (subscription box) management team, who manages the product direction and “cross functional team” (*including: Marketing, Merchandising, Procurement, Design, Development/Engineering, Operations, Customer Support, and Finance) through the Crate recurring life cycle from conceptualization through business development, launch, fulfillment, and post mortem analysis. S/he will be responsible for bringing together all these moving parts into a world-class customer experience.

He/she will have a pivotal role in the curation of each individual Crate's thematic product assortment to include a mix of unique, exclusive and proprietary items across a range of relevant categories and IP’s. This will include working closely with leading entertainment and gaming franchises, partnership development, and sourcing product from some of the leading consumers product companies in the world.

The Brand Manager, Anime will develop a thorough understanding of our Looter profile and should have a deep passion for Anime and knowledge its demographic. He/she will work with specialists on the cross functional team to build a distinctive targeted customer profile for each unique Crate concept and to develop a marketing/communications strategy to build awareness and engage ongoing customer interest and enthusiasm in the Crate content and experience.

He/she will manage the ongoing relationships with IP owners and facilitate the process of asset acquisition, design approvals, and obtaining licensing agreements as needed.

In conjunction with the Crate team Project Manager, he/she will facilitate moving the team through the Crate development/management process ultimately delivering a consistently “awesome” product and experience on time and on schedule.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:


  • Collaborate with Senior Management to understand overall strategic plans and align KPI’s for the Loot Anime Crate

  • New feature and product development

  • Lead cross-functional teams for assigned crates through life cycle process with a focus on: delivering on time, exceeding customer satisfaction objectives and nailing financial KPI’s

  • Secure and maintain relationships with IP owners (licensors) and build expert knowledge of licensed brand assets and aesthetics

  • Manage the process for development, review and approval on all uses of IP assets on products and marketing materials related to the crates

  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the customer profile for Loot Crate and for each assigned Crate concept in order to better support decision making on themes, crate branding, product assortments, IP’s and customer experience

  • Work on continuous improvement on the planning process through all phases of the product life cycle

  • Collaborate with Marketing/Growth team to provide them with information and assets essential to optimize reach of each crate

  • Identify relevant market and industry trends to inform planning and decision making

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED:


  • Project/product management experience in consumer web or retail/consumer products businesses managing cross functional teams (3-5 years)

  • B.S. in related field, M.B.A. helpful, but not required

  • Must have knowledge of the licensed Anime consumer product industry

  • Knowledge of procurement processes, vendor selection, contract negotiation and execution

  • Capacity to conceptualize products obtained through prior product development

  • Demonstrated management experience with balanced strategic and tactical skills

  • Proven ability to juggle multiple priorities and stakeholders
