Summary
The BI Analyst is responsible for analyzing data related to our user behavior, marketing campaigns, product usage and business growth. You’ll have a blend of business and technical skills, with the ability to comfortably work across departments. You’ll engage business partners to understand needs, define data requirements, create dashboard reporting for business metrics, and provide actionable insights. You will report to the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager.
Responsibilities
- Analyze data utilizing SQL, Excel and other tools
- Take data/insights and create dashboards to monitor KPI, help drive business decisions and improve operational performance
- Share insights on potential new business growth opportunities on both revenue and product, including but not limited to customer lifetime value, customer churn and engagement, and product features
- Represent the Finance team and work collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Engineering on reporting, planning and ad-hoc analyses
- Work with key stakeholders, develop data governance processes and quality checks on the completeness and accuracy of data.
- Facilitate business and financial planning by providing strategic insights such as addressable market opportunity and pricing analysis to improve the accuracy of revenue forecast
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in quantitative majors such as CS, Statistics, Mathematics or Finance. MBA preferred
- 3+ years’ experience in analytics
- Advanced SQL & Excel skills
- Experience with Periscope or other BI tools
- Strong analytical and critical thinking ability
- Excellent communication skills and ability to foster and maintain positive professional working relationships
- Self-starter with the ability to find effective ways to get things done
- Experience with Python / R a plus
- Experience in a B2C mobile company preferred but not required
