AV Technical Producer at Snap

We’re looking for a Technical Producer to join Snap Inc! We are looking for someone who is passionate about technology, customer service, and has the ability to thrive in fast paced environment. Working alongside the IT team, you’ll partner with our Event Planners to support the technical aspects of their events. This is a full-time position working from our Venice, CA headquarters.

What you’ll do:

  • Review client requests and provide technical direction for the planning, scheduling, and delivery of services
  • Apply your knowledge of industry trends and developments to improve service to our clients
  • Direct and oversee the work of our Audio Visual Support Vendors
  • Grow a network of global event resources
  • Provide the Event Ops Manager with reports on vendor performances
  • Step into the role of Executive Producer, Technical Director, and/or Project Manager for all assigned events and video productions globally, from planning to execution
  • Keep the AV Manager well informed on the status of event support efforts
  • Serve as the liaison between vendors and clients
  • Own the technical support lifecycle, and be responsible for managing technical risks throughout support planning and delivery
  • Communicate and enforce Snap Inc.’s execution standards (quality, branding, comms policies, etc.) when managing third party services
  • Create and define new standards as technology and scope evolves
  • Manage technical resources within budget and client support schedule
  • Consistently deliver high-quality, high impact services to our clients

What we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years of technical event production experience in a corporate or entertainment field
  • 3+ years of equipment operation experience in a live event environment
  • 2+ years working in a project management role
  • 2+ years of experience managing and assessing vendors
  • A technical education or equivalent in CAD software
  • Experience operating Video Conferencing, Audio Conferencing, Local Audio Reinforcement, Video and Graphics Technologies (including projection, switching, and formatting), Video Recording and Camera Operation, Internet Broadcast Video Streaming, Network Infrastructure Assessment, Set design, and IT operations and Support
  • Someone who understands the benefits of the various event formats (Q&A, Training, Town Hall, Broadcast, etc.), as well as how to execute these formats flawlessly
