About the Position
Everbridge
is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant, to be part of our
fast-paced and dynamic team. The Staff Accountant will report to
Everbridge’s Director of Accounting.
Job Duties:
- Posting general ledger transactions.
- Daily monitoring and reporting of bank activity.
- Managing fixed asset ledger.
- Preparing
schedules for capitalized system development cost per FAS 91, capital
leases, deferred rent and other accounting requirements. - Resolving accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
- Summarizing and reviewing financial statements for foreign subsidiaries.
- Preparing consolidating and eliminating entries.
- Assisting in the monthly, quarterly and year-end financial close process.
- Reviewing accounting issues and recommending appropriate treatment of transactions.
- Preparing audit schedules and analysis and provide support for financial audits.
- Documenting and identifying opportunities for automation and efficiencies around processes.
- Will be responsible on an as needed basis to establish or update accounting policies and procedures.
- Must
be a team player with excellent organizational, analytical and
time-management skills. Individual should be deadline driven and possess
ability to motivate and communicate effectively with staff. - Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must have an Accounting degree
- At least 2 years of experience is preferred
- CPA or on a path towards obtaining CPA certification is a plus
- Experience in technology and/or high growth organization is a plus
- Must have advanced skills in Excel (including but not limited to pivot table, V-Lookups and queries)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, SFAS Rules and skills in researching other Accounting Pronouncements
- Strong technical accounting, analytical and complex problem-solving skills
- Ability to research accounting and reporting issues to determine appropriate treatment in the financial statements
- Ability to take initiative and work independently and as a member of various teams

- Must be adept with accounting software and tech savvy
