3D Character Modeler (Temporary)

We’re looking for a 3ds Max Modeler to join Team Snapchat! We’re looking for someone who is an expert at designing 3D characters for 3D animation and games to work within the Camera Platform team. In this role, you’ll partner with prototypers and engineers to imagine and create new assets and experiences.
*This is a full time temporary role
What you’ll do:
- High-poly and low-poly modeling of 3D characters and objects in accordance to specific technical requirements
- Collaborate with the teams responsible for sculpting, rigging, texturing, and character shading
- Work alongside with prototypers and engineers
- Develop specific character model requirements for accurate facial expression production, rigging, skinning, and shading
- Check for quality assurance on character models
What we’re looking for:
- Someone with a strong 3D design portfolio
- An expert in 3ds Max
- A strong sense of creativity and the ability to adapt to various styles
- A sense of precision and an eye for detail
- Knowledge of low-poly and high-poly modeling, with a proficiency in using edge loops
- Proven experience in Zbrush and Mudbox is a plus
- Proven experience working on animation projects
- Experience in producing blend shapes (facial expressions and lipsync morph targets) is a plus
- Ability to complete tasks within production schedules and deadlines in an organized manner
- Ability to learn and adapt to new workflows and methods
- Someone who is open and responsive to guidance and review notes from both creative and technical supervisors
