Summertime is nearly upon us, and as more people than normal flock to the beaches, canyons and municipal parks to send off June gloom and usher in prime outdoor season, a number of local tech startups are also looking to welcome new talent to their swelling rosters.

 

Headquarters: Santa Monica

What they do: Amobee is a marketing tech company that uses data to provide cross-platform digital advertising solutions. The company's technology gives digital marketers further insight into consumer trends and what they're passionate about.

The perks: 100 percent company-paid health coverage, 401(k) program, free breakfast every day, as well as free snacks and beverages, a daily "bar cart," Amobee service awards and more.

What they do: A leader in the musical education space since being founded in 1922, Alfred Music is part of the Peaksware Holdings portfolio that includes MakeMusic. If you have ever taken lessons for a musical instrument, you likely used an Alfred book. Now, the company is taking their expertise to the digital side.

The perks: Onsite music studio for all to practice, jam and record, in-office yoga, $1,200 a year fitness reimbursement package, 21 days of PTO, four-week paid sabbatical for all employees after seven years, flexible work schedule and more.
