3 LA-based entrepreneurs named to Inc.'s list of inspirational women in tech

LA tech was well represented in Inc's list of 30 Inspirational Women to Watch in Tech in 2017. Here are the awesome LA-based women who made the cut.

The next time SpaceX isn't mentioned in a prestigious list of tech companies will be the first time, at least in a very, very long time. Gwynne Shotwell was one of the first employees to join SpaceX back in 2002. Since then, she has risen to become the Hawthorne-based company's president and chief operating officer, responsible for a jam-packed launch schedule and preparing the company's 2018 mission to Mars. With a background in both business development and engineering, Shotwell is also very involved in STEM education programs.

The tale of LA tech cannot be told without mentioning Cam Kashani. The former co-founder of CoLoft, which was home to Fullscreen, Uber LA and Instacart, among others, has been part of the community since the beginning. The four-time founder recently launched COACCEL, which offers a unique program designed to help entrepreneurs separate themselves from their business plan.

From hosting the most relevant podcast in Silicon Beach to running an extreme sports startup in her early-20's, Espree Devora embodies the LA tech community's enthusiasm in everything she does. Recently, she featured Built In LA on her WeAreLATech podcast.
