6 companies redefining the borders of Silicon Beach

The area that is known as Silicon Beach encompasses a relatively small part of Los Angeles County, spanning across a handful of coastal communities. While these communities continue to thrive as the unofficial capital of Southern California tech, the LA startup scene is growing to different areas of Los Angeles County. See some of the pioneers below:

 

Location: Pasadena

Spokeo is a a people search platform that enables friends and family to reconnect and for users to discover information about their digital footprint. The Pasadena-based company recently celebrated its 10-year anniversary.

 

Location: Calabasas

Formerly known as , InviteManager is a client entertainment enablement SaaS provider located in Calabasas. Founded in 2007, the company boasts more than 4,000 customers, including powerhouses like American Express, AT&T and NBC Universal. The company officially rebranded as InviteManager this week.

 

Location: Studio City

FilmTrack, founded back in 1996, is a SaaS provider that helps clients in the media and entertainment industries manage their intellectual property lifecycles. Located just north of Ventura Blvd., the company's Studio City location puts it just over the hill from Hollywood, as well as a few miles from the 405/101 interchange.

 

Location: Burbank

Connectivity is a SaaS provider of customer intelligence solutions. They allow businesses to identify their best customers, understand those customers' opinions and recognize their competition. The company's Burbank location puts it at the epicenter of a city which is evolving as more and more businesses flock to the area.

 

Location: Inglewood

Inglewood isn't commonly associated with tech startups, but Stratalux is proud to call the 405-adjacent complex on La Cienega home. The company helps businesses migrate, manage and optimize their workloads on the Amazon Web Services cloud infrastructure. They made headlines recently following their acquisition of Tojo Media

 

Location: Sherman Oaks

Centrally located at the 405/101 interchange, PublishThis helps businesses deliver content across all digital channels. The company, which launched in 2008, was named to eContent's Trendsetting Products List in July 2015.
