LA’s burgeoning startup space features a multitude of weekly events that allow the curious to explore the area, learn something new or just have a few drinks with like-minded people. Thankfully, the weather in LA rarely prohibits events from taking place. Here are the top five LA startup events to check out this week.

Los Angeles WordPress Mentorships, April 18 at 7 p.m.

Natalie MacLees, founder and principal of the interactive agency Purple Pen Productions will speak at the Apple Store in Santa Monica on what you need to be taking advantage of in WordPress. The event is also a great opportunity to network with like-minded individuals!

The Future of Designing for the Customer, April 19 at 7 p.m.

The customer, as always, is always right. The only caveat to that statement is that the customer now knows that their list of options is virtually endless, and that is why customer-focused design is the way of the future. Head down to General Assembly LA on April 19 to learn about the strategy behind designing for the customer, and how your business can take advantage.
