Bitium breaks down the 15 biggest hacks and data breaches in the past year

, the Santa Monica-based SaaS-based software operating system, released their list of 2015's most notable data breaches and hacks this week. 

The year saw 781 breaches which affected more than 169 million records. Bitium narrowed this huge year of hacking down to 15 that had a significant influence on the technology, government and media landscape:
