Do you have a startup focused on entertainment or culture?

Atom Factory announced their new SMASHD LABS accelerator this week aimed at influencing and reshaping culture and entertainment and are seeking five to seven participants. CEO Troy Carter says the Culver City-based accelerator will invest $50,000 in each startup and help connect startups with brand partners and mentors.

"The addition of SMASHD LABS to Atom Factory is part of a multi-stage plan to advance our mission of representing the convergence of tech, culture and hustle," Carter said in a statement. "At Atom Factory, we are known for spotting and growing talent; we are excited to identify and nurture the talent within the next wave of entrepreneurs."

The Atom Factory team will serve as mentors for the participants over the course of 10 weeks. The accelerator will focus on product development, design thinking, communications planning, the art of influence, and funding. You can apply for the accelerator here.

The entertainment company has worked with variety of music influencers including John Legend, Miguel, Meghan Trainor, and Lindsey Sterling. Personally, Carter has investments in Uber, Spotify, Dropbox, Warby Parker, and Lyft.
