5 LA-based on-demand startups making your life way easier

LA is a big town, so anytime we can make things more efficient and simple, we're in. On-demand apps are nothing new to LA, but with fresh, convenient ones popping up every day, how could we resist making sure you know about all the ways to make your life even easier?

Curbstand

We're slaves to our cars, so why not make the experience of finding parking much better? CurbStand allows users to geo-locate a participating valet stand to find parking, then request their car, pay, and tip a valet electronically.  They recently acquired Curby, a service for drivers and valet companies, so expect more improvements in the coming months.

Dogvacay

Furry friends are great, but sometimes we need a little help taking care of them. DogVacay allows you to book care for your pet easily online or on your mobile device. They recently launched a new service, Daycare, which offers a trusted and safe way to ensure pets are cared for while their owners are at work, school or away from home for an extended period of time during the day.

SootheApp

What's more relaxing than having a massage? Having it right in the comfort of your own home. LA-based Soothe seeks to transform in-home massages into an Uber-like on demand service where a massage therapist comes to you right when you need it. A one-hour massage costs $99, a 90-minute massage costs $139, and a two-hour massage costs $169.

Buddytruk

Finding a moving company is never easy, nor is it convenient if you need one on short-notice. The Buddytruk app allows any user with a moving or hauling need to connect with a local person and their truck. They're getting rid of the overpricing and inefficiency that comes with traditional movers and making it personal, on-demand, and affordable. The mobile application allows a user to connect and receive help from another person on-demand, and saves the user money by paying a person, not a company.
