The Enterprise Technology Core Systems and Platforms (CSP) team leads the planning, implementation, and sustainment of technologies supporting seamless and unique experiences for The Walt Disney Company. Workforce Technology team (WFT) is part of the CSP team and focuses specifically on supporting the HR function.
The WFT group is looking for an experienced and dynamic Senior Project Manager to lead and oversee strategic initiatives within our workforce technology team. As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving project success by providing leadership, direction, and strategic guidance throughout the project lifecycle. This role offers the opportunity to manage complex projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the advancement of cutting-edge workforce technology solutions. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the direction and implementation of a portfolio of projects, ensuring consistency with department strategy, commitments, and goals. The Senior Project Manager will lead the planning, implementation, and sustainment of technologies supporting seamless and unique experiences for The Walt Disney Company. The Workforce Technology team (WFT) is part of the CSP team and focuses specifically on supporting the HR function.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of strategic projects within the workforce technology domain, from initiation to closure, ensuring adherence to project timelines, scope, and budget.
  • Define project objectives, scope, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders, and develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and resource allocations to support project execution.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams, including Business Analysts, Developers, QA Engineers, and other stakeholders, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Effectively communicate project goals, progress, risks, and mitigation strategies to key stakeholders, including senior leadership, steering committees, and project sponsors.
  • Proactively identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential disruptions and ensure project success.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement, collaboration, and alignment through regular meetings, workshops, and status updates, and solicit feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration and coordination, ensuring seamless integration of project deliverables with existing systems, processes, and organizational objectives.
  • Monitor project performance, track key metrics, and analyze project data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for optimization, and take corrective actions as necessary.
  • Champion project management best practices, methodologies, and tools within the organization, and contribute to the enhancement of project management frameworks, processes, and standards.
  • Mentor and coach junior project management staff, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to foster their growth and success within the organization.


Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects within the workforce technology or related domain, with a minimum of 7 years of experience in project management roles.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Extensive experience in project planning, execution, monitoring, and control, utilizing project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA).
  • Solid understanding of workforce management concepts, systems, and technologies, with the ability to translate business requirements into actionable project deliverables.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results, manage competing priorities, and navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and develop pragmatic solutions.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking, with a focus on driving business outcomes and delivering value to stakeholders.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Project Management, or related field; PMP certification preferred.

The hiring range for this position in California is $123,902 - $166,210 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
