MANAGER, PMO ANALYSIS
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
Enterprise IT Program Management Office (PMO) defines and manages the governance processes to plan, prioritize, track, and align work efforts across all technology initiatives. PMO oversees and reports on the technology portfolio to enable effective decision making throughout the organization. PMO Analysis Manager is a key role within Enterprise IT PMO that leads a Team of PMO Analysts and Coordinators. The PMO Analysis Group owns part and is a key contributor in all major functions of PMO: Governance function: serve as key contributor for ongoing enhancements to the PMO policies and procedures, and own oversight function that ensures ongoing compliance Support function: responsible for technology requests/projects in early stages of the lifecycle to ensure alignment with enterprise priorities and transparency; provide training and guidance Reporting function: ensure accuracy and completenessThis is a highly visible position involving regular collaboration with the IT and Business senior leadership teams.
What you will do

  • Work with key stakeholders in product management, technology and executive teams to define annual planning strategy
  • Manage ambiguity and competing priorities while staying focused on short term and long-term goals
  • Serve as single point of contact between technology and business teams
  • Able to translate business requirements to technical requirements by ensuring the resulting technology solution meets all functional and non functional requirements
  • Drive technical conversations within the team, coordinating and contributing to technical deliverables including architectural diagrams, technical specifications, testing plans / methodology and launch criteria
  • Manages project and program financials ensuring time charged meets the capitalization and expense criteria
  • Work cross-functionally to develop best practices and processes in a fast paces and dynamic environment
  • Displays creativity and leverages previously gained technical knowledge when designing solutions to problems
  • Creates formalized governance structures, reports and presentations
  • Presents to senior and executive level management
  • Offers ideas and solutions to complex problems by diving deep into technical details, business product details or process details
  • Interfaces with all levels of management throughout the bank
  • Recognized as a trusted mentor and leader


Must-Have*

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Proven experience managing complex technical projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Min 7 years' experience in IT Project Mgmt and/ or Project Management Office
  • Min 3 years' experience in highly regulated industry
  • Min 3 years' experience managing/ supervising small cross functional teams


Skills and Knowledge

  • Preferred to have industry knowledge to support the design and/or vendor product selection to solve corporate wide issues or enhancements
  • 7 years of program/project management experience with a proven track record for delivering projects and driving execution.
  • Demonstrated experience of program/project management in an environment employing a variety of software development methodologies (agile, iterative, waterfall, etc)
  • Demonstrated experience and success in influencing, leading, and coaching without direct leadership responsibility.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, facilitation, organizational, prioritization, effective decision making, and conflict resolution skills. Ability to negotiate or persuade others in complex situations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical information to non-technical audiences and vice versa.
  • Strong planning and organization skills
  • Experience of managing multiple stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated experience in motivating and leading project management teams
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex strategic initiatives within a technical and/or business environment
  • Understanding of finance and capital budgeting principles
  • Understanding of end-to-end project and software development lifecycles
  • Experience working in a multi-vendor (outsourced) environment strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrates resilience and flexibility when presented with challenges or changing priorities
  • PMP certification preferred


Compensation
Starting base salary: $111,408 - $189,738 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
