Reporting to the Creative Director, the video editor/videographer will assist in the daily operations of our video production of food related content from pre-production planning to shooting on set to editing a finished video. This is not a coffee runner job, but there can be plenty of coffee involved during editing! Please include in your application a food reel that you have created.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the studio packing equipment for shoots, editing videos in Final Cut Pro X, motion graphics, and keeping our projects/archives organized.
  • Assist on-set in setup, camera/audio operation, and tear down.
  • Organize, assemble, and edit videos in FCPX.
  • Implement simple motion graphics in After Effects that our graphic designers create.
  • Create compelling and interesting videos from what was captured; observe brand standards, ensure consistency and relevancy to production; monitor technical quality of end product.
  • Refine audio through sound mixing, audio post-production enhancement/cleanup, and search for music tracks.
  • Manage video archives.
  • Maintain all equipment in proper working order including troubleshooting and minor repairs as necessary.
  • Research and implement new editing technologies as needed or communicate new ideas and best practices to ensure efficiency and quality.
  • Execute duties assigned by creative director. Assist on shoots in-house/on-location which includes location scouting, equipment rental/packing, lighting, audio, and camera.

Requirements:

  • Experience in the field (any industry, editorial, corporate, non-profit, academic or personal project based). Must have a portfolio of work and references.
