SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER IN TEST (SDET)
TeleSign is looking for an Software Development Engineering in Test (SDET) who will design, implement, and manage automated functional tests for our machine-learning-powered fraud detection platform.
This position is based in Marina del Rey, US and reports to the Lead Software Engineer.
Essential Functions
- Interact with other engineers to understand the system under test.
- Develop test plans and automated tests.
- Execute tests, analyze and report test results.
- Evaluate responses from engineering teams on reported issues.
- Oversee release testing.
Essential Requirements
- BS in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- At least two years of experience testing commercial applications.
- At least two years of experience programming in an object oriented language.
- Ability to write simple relational database queries (select, insert, update and delete).
- Experience testing in a Linux environment.
- Experience testing web services (REST).
- Experience with one or more modern version control systems (Git, Mercurial, Subversion, etc.).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- A clear understanding of QA principles and methodology and the ability to apply this understanding directly to concrete QA problems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with testing or implementation of machine learning systems
- Experience with testing or implementation of backend data flows
- Proficiency with Jenkins/Hudson.
- Experience with python.
- Experience using xUnit test frameworks (JUnit, NUnit, PHPUnit, TestNG, nose, etc.).
