TeleSign is looking for an Software Development Engineering in Test (SDET)  who will design, implement, and manage automated functional tests for our machine-learning-powered fraud detection platform.

This position is based in Marina del Rey, US and reports to the Lead Software Engineer.

Essential Functions
 

  • Interact with other engineers to understand the system under test.
  • Develop test plans and automated tests.
  • Execute tests, analyze and report test results.
  • Evaluate responses from engineering teams on reported issues.
  • Oversee release testing.

Essential Requirements
 

  • BS in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • At least two years of experience testing commercial applications.
  • At least two years of experience programming in an object oriented language.
  • Ability to write simple relational database queries (select, insert, update and delete).
  • Experience testing in a Linux environment.
  • Experience testing web services (REST).
  • Experience with one or more modern version control systems (Git, Mercurial, Subversion, etc.).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • A clear understanding of QA principles and methodology and the ability to apply this understanding directly to concrete QA problems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with testing or implementation of machine learning systems
  • Experience with testing or implementation of backend data flows
  • Proficiency with Jenkins/Hudson.
  • Experience with python.
  • Experience using xUnit test frameworks (JUnit, NUnit, PHPUnit, TestNG, nose, etc.).
