The Holland America Group is currently searching for a highly motivated Product Manager/ Web Project Lead who will lead long and medium term web site projects through the entire development life cycle. Accountable for the success, maintenance and performance of assigned web site components. Formulate the strategic goals and detailed project plans for each engagement. Perform a variety of analyses that directly support assigned projects and site products. Use analyses to justify project requirements and feature recommendations. This position reports to the VP, Travel Services.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the definition of detailed functional requirements by driving collaboration and consensus between project sponsors and stakeholders
  • Accountable for a wide range of website experiences including the following key features; lead generation, user credentials creation and management, site content template development, translations and site globalization, AB testing and voice of customer assessment of related areas.
  • Document requirements and business processes that support the project
  • Secure final approval of objectives and features
  • Create project plans that will define specific requirements for all product components; User Experience, Feature Sets, Content Requirements and Business Rules. Indicate contribution towards the Customer Journey. More specifically, the plan will consider and advance cross-functional objectives Marketing, Loyalty, Customer Service, Commercial and Onboard Revenue.
  • Use web analytics to guide and justify project requirements and feature recommendations
  • Coordinate the efforts of Designers, Producers, Operational Stakeholders Developers and Testers to build online services that fulfill the project requirements
  • Assign tasks to participant teams and lead without authority to ensure completion and facilitate the elimination of barriers.
  • Accountable for project schedules and delivery per project milestones
  • Lead multiple concurrent projects while fulfilling all objectives and schedules as planned
  • Drive an effective testing cycle by assisting in development of test plans and coordination of testing scenario set-ups, identifying and resolving development errors and gaps between requirements and delivery, prioritizing issue resolution with an eye to launching on time with core requirements.
  • Provide updates to management and stakeholder teams throughout the entire project
  • Escalate key decisions and issues to management with full supporting details for efficient resolution
  • Build and maintain a Product Road Map that fulfills product objectives
  • Plan and track enhancements to a distant horizon
  • Facilitate prioritization of feature enhancements in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Coordinate with IT and Web Producers for fixes and content maintenance to ensure that online services maintain acceptable service levels and achieve set operational objectives
  • Hands-on use of web site reporting tools to prepare basic routine reports. Design and execute KPIs to effectively measure product performance
  • Perform a variety of analyses that directly support assigned projects and site products
  • Present analyses and recommendations to stakeholders and all levels of management
  • Prepare industry wide website comparative studies to benchmark features and service offerings
  • Study internal operations and processes that interact with assigned products
  • Recommend and facilitate process change to advance product objectives

Requirements

  • Bachelors college degree desired
  • Technical training and or MBA is a plus
  • 5 - 7 years of experience in web production and project management
  • Experience with project management methodologies and tools
  • Familiarity with Agile is a plus
  • Should be highly organized and able to manage concurrent projects
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills for communication and coordination
  • Ability to lead without direct authority
  • Experience with web analytics tools
  • Experience in preparing and presenting proposals
