We are looking for a highly innovative, collaborative, and resolute Senior UX Designer to lead, with an emphasis on system performance optimization, the design, development, and implementation of the software architecture that integrates and connects the company's core applications. This position supports the implementation of Byte’s strategic business objectives. The major focus of this job will be to coordinate and lead projects for operations. The Senior UX Designer will establish and maintain internal and external relationships and utilize this network to successfully execute assigned projects.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES, includes the following, but not limited to:

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams from marketing to analytics, product, and engineering to understand and solve complex business and customer problems.
  • Work closely with Product Managers and internal stakeholders to interpret requirements, align to key goals, integrate data learning to produce best-in-class product design and interactive experiences.
  • Contribute to strategic foundations leading and/or contributing to design lifecycle artifacts (e.g personas, journey maps, service ecosystem mapping, product process flows, design approach and strategy documents, requirements documentation etc.).
  • Develop and iterate IA, UX, and UI frameworks (both static and prototypes) using a human-centered and hypothesis-driven approach that includes the integration of a variety of data-informed and research-based activities.
  • Help steward a holistic, empathetic vision and execution of our customer journey across our service touchpoints over the course of multiple projects, optimizations and initiatives that will result in best-in-class work
  • Support product roadmap by providing estimates and timelines for UX activities via collaboration with colleagues and managers and deliver in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Keep current with the latest products, experiences and trends that influence our customers and will shape our work

Qualifications and Experience Requirements:

  • Prior experience (5-7 years) as a UX designer, information architect, or interactive designer
  • Prior work designing experiences for consumer facing products and services with a track record in the e-commerce and/or DTC space.
  • A proven track record as an individual contributor with the ability to advocate for and defend design solutions whether they be your own or members of your team.
  • Experience designing or partnering with UI designers to create modular design systems and component libraries.
  • Experience partnering with, leading, and guiding other designers
  • Experience conducting user research, interviews, testing, and other research activities.
  • Expertise in a combination of visual design, communication and prototyping tools such as Adobe Suite + XD, Sketch + InVision, Figma, Principle. Experience in motion design tools a plus
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS and JavaScript and other front end development frameworks
  • Degree in Design, Human Factors, User Interface Design or equivalent professional experience
