Senior Manager, Product Partnerships

 Overview:

We are looking for a Product Partnerships Manager to join our team to identify and prioritize new business opportunities, lead partners to adopt new API products and be the voice of partners for the Weedmaps Product team; lead cross-functional execution within Weedmaps and work with Weedmaps’ partners to incubate new business initiatives. To be successful in this role, you will be well versed in multiple business models, have deep technical experience managing API programs, an analytical problem solver, who understands complex integrations, payments and the point of sale landscapes. You must be a dynamic leader in complex cross-functional environments while balancing the needs of partners and Weedmaps. You are scrappy, collaborative, focused on results, a self-starter, and have demonstrated success in leading cross-functional projects to drive the growth and success of a business.

The impact you'll make:

  • Identify innovative solutions in the market through expertise on our partners’ capabilities and influence partners to develop such solutions
  • Drive our API program forward through product integrations and adoption by our partnership ecosystem
  • Incubate new integration initiatives to grow various business initiatives.
  • Lead with an analytical approach to identify growth initiatives
  • Synthesize trends in the ecosystem, API product performance, growth, and couple these with insights from partners
  • Be a master in cross-functional collaboration by developing deep relationships with key cross-functional partners across the company and coordinating with working teams
  • Project manage integrations, drive successful product alpha/beta programs, launches and communications plus materials (including posts and best practices) with partners globally (e.g., set a plan, deadlines, and ensure timely deliverables
  • Problem solving and analysis experience solving business problems, individually or in a group setting
  • Knowledge of organizational dynamics, operating experience with cross-functional organizations, API programs and complex multi-product integrations. 
  • People and team leadership experience coupled with project management experience
  • Experience learning and shifting priorities, while maintaining organization and control

What you've accomplished:

  • 6+ years of experience in product management, or business development or business strategy
  • Experience managing and working with & in large scale organizations.
  • Possess a quantifiable record of success in technical integrations, with a demonstrated ability to generate new business through partnerships.
  • Understand complex sales processes, build consensus and be adept at developing relationships at multiple levels.
  • Have domain expertise in the areas of advertising, payments and SaaS applications
  • Are able to motivate internal cross-functional resources to enable partner success.
  • Are comfortable engaging with a variety of roles ranging from developers to sales to senior executives.
  • Ability to set priorities, focus on details and motivate internal and external teams to deliver agreed-upon goals
  • Experience setting up global support structure and SLAs as well as supporting RESTful APIs with diverse feature sets
  • Stand out verbal, written and communications skills
  • Problem solving skills.

  • Advanced/technical degree preferred
