Description:

As the Implementation Project Manager, you will be responsible for defining technical requirements and successfully onboarding new retail customers to Shipsi’s delivery platform.  You’ll work with the sales team to evaluate and define product requirements and issues and you’ll work with the technical project manager to implement, track, and test all issues and projects. While you do not need to know how to code, this position requires a strong understanding of the development process and how technical products fit together. You must be adept at project management and project management methodologies. UI/UX/Product skills are a bonus.

This is a full-time position, but we will consider qualified part-time candidates.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Work as bridge between the operations team and the technical team
  • Identify, log and track issues relating to both operations and technology and suggest fixes and enhancements and create detailed SOW’s
  • Work with the technical project managers to make sure the management team, operational team  and technical team are aligned in expectations and deliverables and be able to communicate reasons behind any delays or issues on the technology
  • Be able to speak with the client's technical team on a high level and assess any customizations or outside requirements they may need and work with the technical team to create a SOW
  • Manage all project phases, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control and closure
  • Create project plans, including deliverables, activities, timeliness and budgets
  • Direct day-to-day activities of projects and staff
  • Ensure milestones are successfully met through oversight of project vehicles and coordination of resources
  • Work collaboratively with other departments impacting the project.
  • Lead communication with stakeholders and team members through completion of the project
  • Provide scheduled and on-demand status reports, tracking, and updates
  • Direct project timelines and budgets
  • Assess, manage, resolve and escalate (if necessary) risks and issues
  • Tailor processes to meet the needs of individual projects
  • Make decisions based on information and input in a timely manner
  • Work on projects of high complexity

Requirements: 

  • 3+ years technical project management experience
  • Understanding of web/internet technologies
  • Experience with project management tools and structured methodologies
  • Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills for handling multiple and conflicting activities
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation and facilitation skills
  • Attention to detail and deadlines
  • Capacity for building relationships both internally and externally
  • Strong focus on client service
  • Ability to think independently and make decisions
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Collaborative approach to work
  • Capacity to effectively manage a team
