Clutter is an on-demand, technology company based in Los Angeles that is disrupting the $50B/year self-storage and moving industries. We’ve built an end-to-end logistics and supply chain platform that enables us to offer consumers a much more convenient solution at price parity with the incumbents. We’ve raised $300M from a number of VCs, including SoftBank, Sequoia, Atomico and GV (formerly Google Ventures). We have 700+ team members and tens of thousands of customers in 7 major markets across the US with plans to be in 50+ markets, domestically and internationally, within the next 5 years!

At Clutter, we're fortunate to be providing a consumer value proposition that people love and one that makes economic sense - a true product/market fit that few startups ever find. Clutter's vision is to make our customers' lives more convenient so they can experience more of what they love. To that end, Clutter is a one-stop-shop for moving and storage services, providing the most affordable, flexible, and reliable service nationwide.

The opportunity:

The moving and storage market is fragmented, inconsistent, and low-tech. For customers, moving and storage happens around stressful life events. Delivering truly excellent service means the difference between a lasting happy memory for a customer vs. extreme stress. That means on-time service, no misplaced or delayed items, and almost non-existent rates of damages. This Product Operations Manager will be responsible for building platforms that allow Clutter to deliver that level of service at scale.

  • Own Clutter’s quality of service, with a specific focus on driving down damages to
  • Become an expert in all aspects of our supply chain, including both field and warehouse operations; from our software to heavy equipment
  • Work with product managers, designers, and engineers to create software systems and processes for improving quality of service
  • Implement new processes, policies, and performance management frameworks with ops collaborators
  • Manage an hourly team of 4-6 Operations Project Coordinators - this team is responsible for driving quality of service through frequent and detailed audits
  • Use data to identify trends, develop recommendations, and improve operational efficiency

What we're looking for:

  • 5+ years of work experience, ideally in product and/or operations, with a background in logistics/operations management preferred
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma and Kaizen methods preferred
  • Working knowledge of SQL preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lead problem-solving efforts across quantitative research, user research, and first principles thinking
  • Ability to work across operations teams, product engineering, hourly operations teams, and the Clutter executive team
  • Ideally 2-3 years of managerial experience, ideally within an operations/logistics organization

Clutter is committed to fostering a fair, inclusive, and equal work environment. We strive to create a workplace that reflects the communities that we serve, where each team member is empowered to come to work as their true self. Diverse teams are more successful, which is why Clutter aims to be a leader in workplace equality and move both our company and the industry forward.
