Scale is a start up eCommerce company creating best-in-class medical supplements and beauty products. We use an analytical approach and technology to power our growth engine, and are looking for an experienced product manager to join and lead the technical direction of our web properties. You’ll work with our team of engineers to build and maintain features that create rich and compelling experiences for our customers, and expand the platform that drives our business operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of customer facing enhancements that support eCommerce, acquisition, and retention within our proprietary platform. Oversee the product development lifecycle and develop necessary features and modules to support overall product strategy. You will work directly with stakeholders throughout the business to understand areas of opportunity, work with internal and external partners to develop a cohesive product, and delight our members with high-quality experiences. You will report into the Engineering team and work in partnership with other members on the product, design, engineering, operations and business teams. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our users’ needs,latest technology advancements, and business objectives
  • Work with the larger product organization to both creat and lead a roadmap and prioritize features based on member impact and business needs
  • Generate documentation and communicate requirements to the appropriate teams and ensure timely cross-functional execution
  • Partner with the design team to develop a cohesive user experience and brand message across all member touch points
  • Partner with the software team to develop seamlessly integrated experiences across every platform
  • Scope, plan and execute the development to timeline goals
  • Lead and ensure organizational readiness for tech roll outs and launches (e.g operations, customer service, etc)

REQUIREMENTS:

  • The ability to collaborate and build trust with engineers, designers, and other cross-functional teammates
  • A proven track record of taking products to market
  • Have led or participated in SCRUM development processes
  • Strong communication and project management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of innovative social and/or ecommerce platforms

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of product management experience with consumer-facing sites/apps, with some product experience in DTC, Health & Fitness, or related experience
  • Excellent communication skills, able to articulate highly technical concepts in a way that non-technical team members can understand
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, high growth environment
  • BA/BS degree in a relevant subject area
  • Good active listening skills, the ability to empathize with stakeholders, and other engineers.
  • Experience in a high-paced, high-growth environment working with deadlines and milestones.
  • Previous experience in software engineering is a plus, but not required
  • Comfortable with ambiguity; you enjoy figuring out what needs to be done.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Assume technical responsibility for new services and functionality, lookout for opportunities for platform improvement, and work with engineers to scale our production systems.
  • Identify and lead technical initiatives to build clean, robust, and performant data applications.
  • Be a leader within your team and the organization.
  • Facilitate the on-time completion of large projects
