Job Description
At PayPal (NASDAQ: PYPL), we believe that every person has the right to participate fully in the global economy. Our mission is to democratize financial services to ensure that everyone, regardless of background or economic standing, has access to affordable, convenient, and secure products and services to take control of their financial lives. We're a purpose-driven company, and our beliefs are the foundation of how we conduct business every day. We're guided by our core values of Inclusion, Innovation, Collaboration, and Wellness. Collectively, these values inspire us to work together as One Team with our customers at the center of everything we do, and to take care of ourselves, each other, and the communities in which we live and work. We challenge the status quo, ask questions, and find solutions. Join us as we enable the hopes, dreams, and ambitions of millions of people around the world.
Honey is a fast-growing company based in Los Angeles, and we've recently joined the PayPal family to help supercharge our mission of creating fairness and value for everyone. We've built a community of over 20 million online shoppers and use the collective insights of our members to power an online shopping platform that allows everyone to shop smarter, together. With that, we are excited to say we're hiring! We are actively seeking a Sr. Product Manager to join the Product Team in our Los Angeles office.
About the Role:
Honey is a Product and Engineering focused company and the Product Management team is at the center of the company's daily operations. While each Product Manager leads one or more mission team that consists of engineers, product designers and analysts, the team collectively collaborates on goals, northstars and the company-wide roadmap. We have a strong emphasis on aligned autonomy and a culture of collaboration and thus we expect every member of the team to have a strong sense of ownership, not just for the assigned products and missions but for the overall company's success and the satisfaction of Honey's users and partners.
Our Checkout Integration team is at the center of the Honey and PayPal integration efforts. The shopping journey ends with checkout, and our team strives to give users a best-in-class payment experience that leverages PayPal member payment options, earning and burning of offers and rewards across all merchant integration types. We partner with PayPal Checkout, Credit, and a variety of other PayPal teams to bring these experiences to life. We work across platforms and own the end-to-end checkout experience within the entire PayPal Shopping vertical, building products on the Honey browser extension, PayPal Shopping, and Honey mobile apps.
What You'll Do:
As a Sr. Product Manager at Honey, you will:

  • Translate the company's vision into a thoughtfully prioritized, executable plan to get your products from MVP to 100x
  • Work closely with developers, designers, stakeholders, QA, analytics, and other product teams to take ideas from concept to launch
  • Use an effective combination of research, data, and product intuition to make timely decisions
  • Understand deeply the "why" behind everything we do and instill that understanding across all levels of the organization
  • Serve as a communication hub and facilitate collaboration across teams and departments related to your products

About You:

  • At least 3-5 years of experience building and shipping technology products at scale
  • A reputation of being the smartest person in the room, with the humility to realize you won't always be
  • A natural, deep curiosity that drives you to learn, investigate, and constantly ask why
  • Expert communication skills, including the ability to persuade and inspire, a knack for breaking down complex technical concepts, and a proactive attitude towards knowledge sharing
  • Strong sense of ownership and a "whatever it takes" attitude towards getting stuff done
  • Boundless creativity when it comes to generating ideas, but an understanding that execution is what ultimately matters
  • Comfort with ambiguity, and an instinct for moving quickly
  • The inclination to get your hands dirty, from building mockups to help communicate your ideas to writing your own SQL to understand our data
  • A strong growth mindset, unwavering grit, and an appetite for being constantly pushed beyond your comfort zone

At Honey, we are committed to building a diverse and inclusive company. We seek to create a culture where everyone can belong because we believe that people do their best work when they can show up every day as their authentic selves. We welcome people of different backgrounds, experiences, abilities, and perspectives.
