The Product Manager, Digital Media is responsible for the development, management, and optimization of Playboy’s digital products.

Major Areas of Responsibility

This position plays a key role in the management of the product development lifecycle, helping to define product requirements and ensuring the release of high quality digital experiences that meet the needs of the business.

  • Act as product owner for Playboy’s web properties and platforms
  • Ensure that project milestones are met according to roadmap commitments

Specific Responsibilities of the Job

  • Gather, define, and document product requirements that can be understood by developers, designers, colleagues in content, marketing, and sales, and executives.
  • Conduct regular ideation and specification sessions to ensure alignment of stakeholders across departments, business lines, and partner organizations.
  • Write stories and acceptance criteria, maintaining backlog for development and ensuring priorities are assigned to appropriate sprints
  • Own the day-to-day prioritization and approval of features as they are released
  • Experience shipping both responsive websites and native mobile apps
  • Act as the main point of contact for product questions, issues, and feedback
  • Work with the web production team to improve project and content management workflows
  • Review product performance against KPIs, test and make feature improvements
  • A client-focused, metrics-informed approach to product
  • Conduct competitive research and analysis, evaluating impacts of potential product features

Job Requirements

  • Experience with media and ecommerce platforms
  • Experience optimizing subscription membership acquisition funnels
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Experience with web analytics
  • Experience with JIRA and other issue and project tracking software
  • Ability to lead the product development lifecycle
  • Create and maintain product requirement documentation and FAQs
  • Evaluate and improve content management workflows
  • General knowledge of agile web development process
  • Experience working with remote vendors, teammates, and customers in other countries

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 4-5 years’ experience in a web production, UX design, or product development
  • Experience supporting subscription platforms
  • Experience customizing content management systems
  • Experience with agile development, preferably as product owner or scrum master
  • Expert in using Google Drive, primarily spreadsheets and documents
  • Working knowledge of Google Analytics
  • Working knowledge of Photoshop, Omnigraffle, Axure, or other wireframing tools
  • Working knowledge of Pivotal Tracker, JIRA, or similar project management tools
