Ring’s mission is to reduce crime in neighborhoods. With a variety of product lines that support this mission, Ring’s product team is looking for a Product Manager to join our Santa Monica, CA team focusing on home security. This role will be located at the Santa Monica office, and will be responsible for all messaging touchpoints in the apps, customer support training, help center articles, customer emails, and more. You will be part of a dynamic team building products and features that continuously support keeping our neighbors safe and secure. You will work closely with the product, design, engineering, legal, marketing, and customer support teams to create and validate content and messaging.

Responsibilities

• Content generation and copy writing for product touchpoints such as in-app messaging, customer emails, help center articles, video scripts, user guides, tutorials, and customer support training and reference materials)
• Manage email campaigns during customer lifecycle to increase customer engagement
• Collaborate with Ring marketing team and legal team to ensure content meets business needs
• Understanding and comply with opt-in/international email laws 
• Manage Send Grid tool (and flexibility to transition to other email tools)
• Deliver metrics for emails (i.e., open rates, delivery rates, bounce rates, spam)

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of copy writing, content generation, email management or relevant experience
• Experience working with engineering and product management teams in an Agile software development environment
• Basic HTML skills

• Self-starter with an ability to translate technical concepts into digestible, easy to understand content 
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and creative problem-solving
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to use quantitative and qualitative data to drive improvements
• Knowledge of software project management methods and tools
• Knowledge of product lifecycle and customer communication strategies
