What we’re looking for:

At Our Place, we’re looking for an organized, experienced, and passionate Product Development professional to help lead all (yes, all) of our product development and sourcing efforts.

In this role, you’ll report directly to the Head of Product and partner closely with Our Place’s co-founders.

What you’ll do:

  • Create and maintain detailed T&A calendars, WIPs, costing grids, and BOMs.

  • Communicate daily with domestic and international suppliers.

  • Source and develop new raw materials, products, and packaging.

  • Negotiate timelines, minimums, and costing with vendor partners.

  • Manage inbound shipping logistics with factory, freight, and warehouse partners.

  • Provide IMU rollup and analyses internally — and offer creative solutions for improvement.

  • Troubleshoot all development and production issues using creative thinking and maintaining a positive attitude.

  • Attend sourcing trade shows and visit manufacturing partners to strengthen relationships.

  • Collaborate with internal and external industrial, packaging, and graphic designers to develop, design, and perfect the Our Place product line.

  • Partner with Brand and Creative team on samples for photoshoots, and samples for the Marketing and CX teams.

The right candidates will...

  • Have 3-5 years (or more) experience managing product assortments in kitchenwares, home, and/or other hard goods categories.

  • Be passionate about creating and sourcing unique product assortments in the global market.

  • Thrive at sourcing and developing strong vendor relationships domestically and internationally — while simultaneously managing day-to-day development and production communications.

  • Be experienced managing and maintaining design tech packs and bill-of-materials with freelance design partners and manufacturers across both product and packaging.

  • Be able to build and maintain detailed development and production timing and action calendars.

  • Feel comfortable (and be great at!) managing and negotiating product costs at item-, category-, and seasonal-level.

  • Get excited to travel internationally for product development and sourcing.

  • Have experience with (or understanding of) import and shipping logistics.

  • Dive in with both feet, and have the ability to wear multiple hats in a fast-growing and rapidly-evolving organization.

  • Be excited about building processes and tools to support cross-functional communication.
