The Product Analyst works directly on several aspects of the core lending business – sales and marketing strategy analysis, determining underwriting criteria at Originations and later in the customer’s lifecycle, measuring policy and execution effectiveness, and much more. Key Responsibilities

  • Use data to understand new ways of finding impactful insights from limited data sets and develop recommendations
  • Design experiments and use various testing and control strategies for sales, underwriting, and operations
  • Measure, monitor, and analyze historical trends and external factors related to loan performance, policy effectiveness, sales strategy effectiveness, and more
  • Develop ongoing business intelligence reports through a variety of methods, including SQL, excel, business intelligence tools, and more
  • Work with credit bureaus and alternative data vendors to evaluate new data sources
  • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional business partners on new initiatives, project requests, prioritization and delivery
  • Communicate strategies/proposals/solutions to key stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field (STEM preferred)
  • 1+ years experience preferred in financial services (investment or retail banking), management consulting, tech start-up (preferably fintech), or similarly rigorous work environment
  • Experienced with data tools such as SQL, R, Python, or similar
  • Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills with key attention to detail
  • High level of inquisitiveness, initiative and critical thinking
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff and management
  • Adaptability and flexibility to changing environment; and comfortable working in a dynamic, high volume, fast-paced environment
