We are looking for a Lead Product Manager to join our Product Management team. This role will will provide leadership and a roadmap for our Platform and Infra teams. Dave’s financial platform to date has been used by over 7 million people. You will help us scale our current platform and facilitate the development of new, innovative features that align to Dave’s mission of creating financial opportunity that advances America’s collective potential. To this end, you will partner with other squads and product managers, but especially and specifically the Financial Platform and Data Teams.


Executing on this will require strong quantitative abilities and technical acumen.


Key Responsibilities

  • Cultivate your developer’s mind to build strong relationships throughout the engineering community to build a solid understanding of our developers’ needs
  • Work with engineering leadership and cross functional stakeholders to align goals, strategy, and roadmap for Infrastructure, platform, and developer productivity feature building
  • Developer productivity and Platform: empower developers and product teams to leverage underlying services to move fast with high quality and consistency
  • Work with the SRE team to build highly scalable, performant, and secure infrastructure. 
  • Communicate, coordinate, and work closely with your squad as well as the other product and engineering teams to drive the end to end product development life cycle
  • Articulate user stories, requirements, define business value, and identify success metrics for our existing/new services
  • Work on the definition and reporting of relevant KPIs to continually optimize technical and financial performance for our business
  • Gather and use data to continuously improve the reliability and operability of services to support Dave’s ever-expanding subscriber base
  • Define, refine, and socialize the key indicators that define the success and quality of Dave’s technical service delivery
  • Engage peers to find opportunities to continuously improve development process

Experience Required

  • 5+ years of work experience as a Sr. Technical Product Manager or equivalent product and technical experience
  • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • A desire to engage with an extraordinary developer community and to inspire engineering audiences to get engaged with an evolving developer platform
  • Experience with gathering requirements for new products and processes
  • Excellent communication with engineering and senior management
  • You are comfortable managing ambiguity, competing priorities, and shifting strategies.
  • Experience framing, evaluating and driving high-judgment build vs. buy decisions
  • Working knowledge of SQL and Business Intelligence tools like Mode, Looker, or Tableau
  • Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment, Spinnaker, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • A solid understanding of the fundamentals of cloud migrations and cloud ecosystems and the trade-offs between managed and unmanaged services
  • Detailed knowledge of Agile development practices and a demonstrated ability to deliver high-impact features at scale
