Product Lead, Emerging Markets
Lead product initiatives in an emerging market for the purpose of unlocking financial access, choice, and control for the underserved. Lead a cross-functional squad of LA and in-country team members to establish product-market fit by developing a deep understanding of the user and delivering user-centric solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Establish product-market fit for current Tala product in a market
- Lead cross-functional squad to align, prioritize, and execute roadmap in sync with company strategy
- Develop a strong understanding of in-country context, user needs, and competitive landscape
- Collaborate with Program Management to ensure consistent agile practices and reporting
- Act as central hub across various functions: Engineering, Credit, Data, CX, Research, and Growth
- Global travel required
Requirements:
- 6+ years product experience in one or more of the following: consumer mobile, personal finance, emerging markets, payments
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with a history of shipping successful, user-centric products against company metrics and KPIs
- Proficient with the latest methods of product discovery and development
- Effective communicator that listens, motivates, and inspires with strong cross-functional leadership and understanding
- Checked ego, humble, empathetic, collaborative, service-oriented attitude of “user first”
