As Head of Product at XCLAIM, you will own the Marketplace roadmap and drive growth. You’ll be responsible for the end-to-end success of initiatives that delight our customers and further XCLAIM’s vision to transform bankruptcy claims trading. You’ll design, build, and implement features that help grow the Marketplace. You will be doing this with an amazing team of people!. This is a great opportunity for a Head of Product with strong technical underpinnings, exceptional analytical skills, and excellent execution.


Candidates must live in Los Angeles, or be willing to relocate to Los Angeles.

What you’ll do

  • Participate as a contributing member of the leadership team.
  • Define and communicate short- and long-term product vision in collaboration with the CEO and CTO, including business requirements, features, functionality, resource planning, and timelines.
  • Set company-wide and product goals.
  • Lead, inspire, hire, and mentor the product team (product managers and designers).
  • Develop and manage product roadmaps cross-functionally in collaboration with engineering and operations.
  • Drive product launches.
  • Implement processes and structures to scale the product.
  • Define metrics for success and analyze effectiveness of product changes.
  • Present product roadmap to internal and external constituencies, including current and prospective investors.
  • Write complete and detail-oriented product requirements and ensure clear communication of those requirements to the business, design, usability and engineering teams.
  • Engage with users (buyers and sellers) to understand personas and guide new feature development.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and partners.
  • Commit to agile product development with all of its ceremonies (the XCLAIM way).
  • Dream up a great product.

You'll do well in this role if this describes you:

  • Interest in financial markets and/or auction dynamics. A knowledgable background in AdTech, MarTech, FinTech, e-commerce, B2B services, and/or 2-sided online marketplace platforms is preferred, but not required.
  • At least six (6) years of product management experience (engineering background or technical product management experience is helpful, but not required).
  • Experience having managed the full product-lifecycle from: MVP to release to post-launch and to operational growth and to deprecation
  • Ability to create thorough UI/UX experiences and accompanying workflow diagrams and wireframes when needed.
  • Form strong collaboration with internal teams (engineering, QA, UI/UX, operations) and external partners.
  • Comfort with agile/scrum methodologies.
  • Approach your work with sound product judgment, positive attitude, and clear goals.
  • Ability to make things happen around you. You manage project ambiguity, complexity, and interdependencies in an organized and efficient way.

Location

Half of our team members are located in Southern California, five are in New York and others are distributed across the US and internationally. We're remote-first but many of us spend a portion of our time in shared office space in LA and NY, and we're quickly expanding our presence in other cities.
