Gimbal is looking for a Head of Product Management with a focus on leading and growing the Gimbal Location Platform and Data Cloud solutions. This person will help direct the vision and product development execution of our Location Technology and Data Cloud offerings. This person is a seasoned and experienced Product Manager who will partner with our Executive team to help keep Gimbal’s leading edge technology platforms evolving for the future.
The ideal candidate will be very strong in strategy, vision, leadership, an expert in location technology, mobile technology, and/or data markets and ideally have some experience with ad tech. 

As the Head of Product Management at Gimbal, you will be a key member focused on new business initiatives built upon our unique and proprietary location data. We’re looking for market experts in location data and its use in advertising, predictive modeling, and more. You’ll be working closely with Data Analysts & Data Scientists, Engineering, Sales & Marketing to build the next generation of Gimbal Products.

As a Head of Product Management, you will:

  • Define the product vision and strategy
  • Be the expert in the location data market
  • Facilitate project meetings, team coordination, issue resolution, and action item tracking
  • Identify quantifiable market opportunities and guide engineering, sales & marketing to capture market share
  • Spending considerable time in market with customers understanding wants, needs, and validating product vision and plans
  • Engage in the development of user requirements and business plan for an offering or a solution within an offering.
  • Market opportunity analysis, contribute to market POV, and monitor market trends to identify growth opportunities.
  • Outline competitors’ SWOT, features, and market share to develop business plan and refine strategy.
  • Collaborate in the defining and delivering innovative offerings by determining customer requirements based on market analysis, target features / use cases, design plan, and design specifications.
  • Monitor ongoing execution of offering development to ensure it meets and exceeds industry standards 
  • Track progress against success metrics and escalate potential risks or arising issues.
  • Establish pricing for commercial offerings of Data Cloud solutions. 

Requirements

  • 10+ years in a Product Management role in a relevant area such as ad tech, marketing tech, online advertising, location technology, and media measurement
  • Deep understanding & expertise of the location data ecosystem
  • Strategic and visionary with proven track record of success
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of location datasets
  • B.A./B.S. in a Business field of study, MBA preferred
  • Expertise in data privacy, and GDPR related topics preferred
  • Expertise in SaaS, DaaS, SDKs and data preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS, Business or related technical field or equivalent of education and experience
  • Experience with SQL, Python and Tableau and plus
